In recent years Antwerp got a lot of extra hotelrooms, especially in the upper segment.
That made us develop a tour around some of the most special hotels, often in historic buildings and with a story to tell.
We start at Motel One, which is under construction at the Oever, and passing some gems, we end at Sapphire House, a brand new 5-star experience!
Join us and experience the waw-effect when entering these special hotels… in the mean time you’ll discover some of the lesser known spots of Antwerp! Most establishments cover different premises and inner courts, which creates interesting sights.
As we go from hotel to hotel, we inform you on the premises and the operators, the history of the hotel business and other tidbits.
Fancy More?
The basic tours takes about 2 hours, without a break. If you have more time or just want to stay in this nice environment a little longer, we can offer you a number of desserts or extra options.
Of course this tour can be combined with a break in one of the bars or pubs we pass along the way, and from Thursdays to Sundays, in the afternoon, we can also visit gallery ‘De Zwarte Panter’, situated in a historic guest house.
In that case the tour will take 3 hours.
Practically
The basic tour (2 hours) costs €15 per person, with a minimum of €150. Groups of more than 20 participants are divided over different guides. For an extra hour there is an additional cost of € 5 per person, with a minimum of € 200.
The tour starts at Motel One (under construction) at Oever (near the pedestrians’ tunnel, Sint-Jansvliet).
